Ramsau am Dachstein offers a 70km network of winter walking trails . The sunny Ramsau plateau has beautiful scenery, making winter walking a wonderful experience. There are both, groomed winter walking trails as well as walking paths. The trails are groomed right from the beginning of a winter season to be available to walkers as well as to horse drawn sleighs, so that roads can mainly be avoided.

The entire network of winter walking trails total 70 km:

40 km of walking trails are set up as rounds on the Ramsau plateau, they are 4 m wide.

– Further 30 km of winter walking paths complete network, which lead the hikers up to the Alpine pasture’s region to a level of 1.700 m.

The wide walking trails are mainly flat and in open, sunny countryside. The only oncoming traffic you might encounter here are horse-draws sleighs.

The narrow winter walking paths are mostly to be found at the edges of the woods, they are ideal in the case of snowfall and are sheltered in case of wind.

Along the way you will find many mountain huts and restaurants with sunny terraces to invite you to stop for a bite.
